Partnerships

The Climate Career Lab (CCL) is a cross-sector initiative supported by a strong regional partnership network spanning public agencies, schools, higher education institutions, employers, and community-based organizations. These partners provide coordinated support across planning, implementation, recruitment, curriculum development, and student support.

  • Core implementation is led by BRPC and Ethos Pathways. BRPC provides expertise in climate data, MVP planning, and regional coordination, ensuring alignment with municipal climate adaptation priorities. Ethos Pathways leads program design, curriculum delivery, student advising, and employer engagement. Additional regional partners include Berkshire Innovation Center (BIC), 1Berkshire, and MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board. BIC supports employer connections and advanced manufacturing pathways, 1Berkshire supports economic development alignment and employer engagement, and MassHire contributes workforce system integration and career readiness resources.

  • North Adams Public Schools, Pittsfield Public Schools, and Berkshire Hills Regional School District serve as primary recruitment and implementation partners. Schools support student identification, outreach, and program integration, and provide space and coordination for programming.

  • A network of climate-critical employers plays a central role in implementation. Partners include National Grid, SolaBlock, Elimentra Tech, Terra-Build Design, Laureyns United, Noble Carbon, Valley Solar, Revvit, Surya Tech, Transform Power Systems, Dream Green Recycling, Second Chance Composting, Ioka Valley Farm, and Full Well Farm. Employers serve as co-educators by hosting site visits, leading workshops, offering mentorship, and informing curriculum design based on workforce needs. Many partners also support work-based learning opportunities such as job shadowing and internships.

  • Community partners support recruitment, culturally responsive programming, and wraparound services. These include Climate Cardinals (translation and multilingual access), Greenagers, Roots Rising, Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC), First Gen Leadership (FGL), and the Alliance for Climate Transition (ACT). These organizations help ensure equitable access, community trust, and alignment with Environmental Justice priorities.

  • Local and regional leaders, including State Senator Paul Mark, State Representative Tricia Farley-Bouviar,  State Representative Leigh Davis, and municipal representatives, provide support for outreach, visibility, and alignment with regional policy and climate goals.
